A Trip to Shipshewana

Campbell took her first trip to Shipshewana, Indiana, which was also her daddy & mommy's first trip there in a very long while. They were surprised at how much it had changed and all of the cute shops that they found. The restaurant we ate at was called The Garden Gate, and it was super cute. Campbell loved it and shared a birthday cupcake with Mommy.

So, here is documentation of Campbell's first merry-go-round ride. You can see the hesitation in her eyes in this picture. She seemed to like it the first time around, and then...
She didn't last very long, and then she wanted to be in Mommy's arms.

Later that night, after bath-time, we had a fashion show in Campbell's pajamas from her Aunt Beth! They are great because she is just like her daddy and is warm-blooded, so she sleeps really hot.

We went to the Cedarville Park tonight. Although she looks like she's enjoying the swing, she really liked the slide the best.

Maddie Novak drove in from Minneapolis for the weekend with her dad & mom. We were lucky enough to be able to meet up at her family's lake cottage.

Memorial Day Weekend

We spent Memorial Day weekend at PawPaw & Mimi's cottage. It was so much fun to play to see Campbell interacting and playing with her cousins. She loves to be right in the mix!

... which didn't last very long. Blue smoke and water coming on board caused us to come right back to shore. Maybe next weekend.
Oh well. We found other things to keep us busy, like coloring with really big sidewalk chalk (and some cornhole, too).

We're still working on perfecting the pigtail. She'll sit in her highchair and wait patiently for Mom to do her hair.

Baby Shower for Baby Austin

Baby Austin is due to arrive in less than 6 weeks now, so we wanted to have a shower for his mommy (the one in the black). All of us girls have been in a small group together at one time or another. Addie, on the far right, had Baby Lily two days after the shower!

That evening, then, we went to dinner and HAD to stop by Dairy Queen on the way home. Campbell loved the ice cream cone but had a little too much.

We Did It!

Yeah! Mommy did Campbell's hair today! This was a huge deal since it is just not Mommy's thing. This picture is of us giving the ok on Campbell's hairstyle.

Campbell got to show off the "do" at Jaxson's 1st birthday party. (Jaxson is the one in the red shirt.) She got to play with lots of friends, including Camden and Jaxson.

Campbell had her hair done at school today. She looked so cute, but now Mom has to figure out how to do it!

Campbell's Latest Statistics

There is no picture post this evening, we just thought we'd give an update on Campbell's 15-month appointment with the doctor today. It began when we started walking back to the examination room- she started crying. No one touched her or anything, she just walked by her doctor and that was enough to push her over the edge. So, with that being said, here are Campbell's latest stats. They are somewhat untrustworthy, though, since she was sobbing so hard and trying to scramble off of the scale with all of her might.
Weight = 21 lbs. (25th percentile)
Height = 30 1/2" (50th percentile)
Anyway, that's about it. She's healthy and happy (when she's not at the doctor). Dr. B. reassured us that this is a normal behavior and she should like him by the time she's 3. Yeah, we'll wait to see about that one.

A Sunny Saturday

Campbell went to her cousins' soccer games today. She enjoyed being outside in the sunshine, especially trying to run out on the field while they were playing.

Oh yeah... this is how we found Campbell this morning. We have no idea how she got her little arm out of her pajamas without unbuttoning them, but she did. It didn't seem to bother her any, though.
