First Ponytail

This is Campbell's first ponytail. She wasn't sure about it at first and kept pulling at it, but she eventually left it alone. Next attempt will be pigtails on the side. Stay tuned...

Campbell's New Ride

This is Campbell's newest "ride". Liv found this wagon at a garage sale, and Campbell loves it. As soon as we get home, she says "ride, ride, ride." As you can see, there are many ways to sit in the wagon. All of which are great fun!

Watch out Daddy...

After a fun filled day of visiting at the lake, Campbell had to say goodbye to her new friend Austin. She seemed quite interested in hugs and kisses. Better watch out...Daddy might have to keep a close eye on this one!

Campbell's 18-month checkup

Campbell had her 18-month checkup last Friday and all is well. She weighed in at 22.5 pounds (25th percentile) and was 32" tall (50th percentile), which is consistent with her past growth chart. As usual, she cried as soon as she saw the nurse and doctor...and especially cried when she got her shots. The nice thing is that these will be her last shots until she is 5 years old (besides flu shots). Dr. B. was very pleased with her growth and development and gave us some helpful tips.

Campbell is quickly becoming a little toddler. Her innocent baby days are over and have been replaced with a bit of will and attitude. We can't complain, though. Campbell has such a tender heart, and she just loves to help. This picture below, though, shows one of her finer moments. She was not allowed dessert after dinner with Grandma and Uncle Ry because she did not eat her asparagus. So, when the rest of us were eating ours, she sat like this with her eyes covered for a good couple minutes. It was hard not to laugh, but of course we did get the camera out in time!

Daddy's first pigtail

This was Daddy's first attempt at doing Campbell's hair. It wasn't as good as Mommy's, but it at least stayed in for the whole day.

Baby Update

We had a Dr. appointment last Wednesday, and the Dr. wasn't able to hear the heartbeat through the external microphone. So, Liv had an ultrasound to double check. Dr. really didn't have any concerns, and neither did Liv, since Liv has been feeling so bad lately. But nonetheless, we got to see a picture of our little baby. The heartbeat was strong and we even saw arms and toes. And to top it off, we saw the baby move. We are certainly amazed and thankful for how the baby continues to develop. God is good!

Vacation in Tennessee

We decided to take our first vacation without Campbell. We met up with Liv's friend, Beth, from college, her husband, and several others...down in a cottage on Norris Lake, TN. This was our first trip away from Campbell, and it was a hard thing to leave her in the care of others. Thankfully, the grandparents are more than capable of watching her. Campbell spent a couple of days with Grandma Warner, and then a few days with MiMi and PawPaw. We had great weather and enjoyed our time away. Here's a picture of the cottage we rented. We rented a pontoon boat one day and had alot of fun tubing and relaxing on the water. Andy was able to perfect the tube-surfing!

We had a lot of fun and enjoyed our time away, but definitely decided we won't do that for a while again. It was hard being away from our baby girl!
