Canada Fishing Trip

These are a few pictures from Andy's fishing trip to Canada last weekend. Unfortunately, we didn't think to take pictures of any of the fish we caught. So, you'll have to believe us that we did actually catch some fish. We ended up keeping about 400 bluegill, a few perch, and a few rock bass. This was actually a down year, as they normally catch twice that amount. Still, with 400 fish, we got to be pretty good at fileting fish. I know, you're probably wondering why we drove 10 hours to Canada for bluegill. But these were not your ordinary Indiana bluegill. They were much, much larger. Most importantly, we had a great guys' weekend!

We had to pull out the rain ponchos one morning. Here's Andy, Liv's dad Tom, and Rich (the dad of one of Liv's best friend and basketball buddies from high school).
Here's a picture of our cottage. According to Rich, this place was like heaven compared to the usual place he stays. Although it didn't have a shower, it did have satelite tv. And the owners of the cottage next door were kind enough to let us shower in their basement.

A Wedding Celebration

Our cousin, Matt, got married tonight. It was a beautiful ceremony with a beautiful bride and groom. The reception was held at the Berghoff brewery building, which is a beautifully renovated building with exposed brick in downtown Fort Wayne.

Daddy & Mommy had a night out together, too, which even included a little dancing :)

The Beginning of a Girls' Weekend

Campbell, Mimi, & Mommy had a girls' long weekend at the lake. The boys took off for a fishing trip to Canada with Uncle Ry and a family friend, so the girls played all weekend long. We thought we'd start out with some fun in the sun, but of course we had to make sure our skin was protected first.

The pictures above make it look like Campbell applied the sun lotion herself, but the lid was on the whole time. She certainly is trying to do a lot of other things by herself, though... like sit in a big girl chair!
This is Campbell's new swimsuit given to her by Aunt Weno! If you look closely, there is even a cute little belt with it. It is adorable!

Father's Day Part II

What better place to celebrate Father's Day than at Coney Island in beautiful downtown Fort Wayne. We all enjoyed the coneys, baked beans, and chili....all except Campbell. For some reason she hasn't developed a taste for hotdogs yet. We aren't pushing that one though!

The First Swim of the Summer

The water was 73 degrees and still felt pretty chilly, but it didn't seem to bother Campbell at all. She loved every minute of the swimming with her Daddy, cousin Wyatt, & PawPaw.

Campbell's favorite part was sliding into the water. She thought this was great stuff and didn't want to stop even though she couldn't stop shivering!

Campbell is doing a good job of brushing her teeth. Daddy & Mommy just need to remember to have her do it on a daily basis.

A Trip to the Zoo

Mommy had the day off of work, so we took a trip to the zoo with Mimi, Grandma Char, & Aunt Weno. Campbell sure enjoyed the zoo and all of the attention, too! Here she is checking out the penguins.

What a big girl! We cannot believe how big Campbell is getting, and this picture captured that thought. She is getting so big and saying lots of words, too. It is so much fun to watch her change from day to day.

What a fun morning we had! Campbell was so tired that she didn't even stay awake to eat the ice cream that Mommy bought her on the way home.
This is Campbell's latest thing... let's just say wants to be by herself when she has to potty. Enough said!
